Short Workout: Exercising with PoTS with Lorna Nicholson
18m
Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (PoTS) can be a life-altering and debilitating health condition, caused by an abnormal response by the autonomic (automatic) nervous system. Simply standing up can be a challenge for affected people as their body is unable to adjust to gravity, thereby making exercising difficult.
In this class, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Pilates teacher and PoTS sufferer, Lorna Nicholson, looks at exercises which are suitable for clients who struggle working in an upright position. It focuses on developing lower limb strength to help to improve the body's muscle-pumping system.
