Masterclass: Connect your Hands to your Torso with Birthe Brosolat
Highlights
•
42m
This masterclass with Birthe adopts both a fascia-based and Pilates approach to help us to connect our hands to our torso. The focus is on moving our connective tissue three-dimensionally to achieve optimal movement.
You will need a variety of equipment for this class - this includes a foam Roller, two Franklin balls and a resistance band. You may also wish to use a yoga bolster (or rolled up towel/blanket) and a Pilates ball (overball). All equipment is available to purchase from Sissel UK - www.sisseluk.com.

Birthe Brosolat has been teaching movement for more than 35 years. Working as a full-time freelance movement educator and based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Birthe qualified with Body Control Pilates in 2008 and has since become a Matwork Master Teacher and Studio Master Teacher. She is also a member of the Body Control Tutor Team in Scandinavia. Birthe is also certified as a Franklin Method Movement Educator.
Birthe finds the body and the mind endlessly fascinating. She thrives in learning new insights and getting ‘nerdy’ about how the body and the mind work and how they communicate with each other to create good and efficient movement. She believes that movement should be fun and make you feel good - and that is what she likes to bring across in her teaching.
Birthe focuses on creating awareness of how we move and, if necessary, creating a change in our movement patterns to make movement more enjoyable, allowing us to maintain a healthy body and mind. Exploring the tools to bring about awareness and create change is the driver of combining her knowledge of Pilates and The Franklin Method with other disciplines, such as fascia-related training, Feldenkrais and neurodynamics.
If you're a Pilates teacher and are interested in further training with Birthe, why not join her in Sicily in June 2020? Birthe will be running a retreat for Pilates teachers and trainee teachers. For more info, follow https://freelancepilates.dk/en/retreat-sicily2020/
Birthe also runs her workshops regularly around the UK and Europe. For more information on Birthe, visit www.freelancepilates.dk
