Prior to becoming a Pilates Teacher Dawn worked in the printing industry. Hours sat at a desk all day left her with poor posture and chronic low back and neck pain. After advice from a physiotherapist she began Pilates classes and within months became pain free. It was these astonishing results that inspired her to train with Body Control Pilates.
After qualifying as a Body Control Pilates teacher, Dawn went onto further her development and train as a ‘Level 4 Low Back Pain Practitioner’ with Body Control Pilates. She now teaches ‘Healthy Back’ and student classes at the Body Control Pilates Centre in London and is also a supervising teacher for Body Control Pilates students.
Dawn is committed to helping people with low back pain and is particularly interested in the relationship and interactions between the low back and the hip. She encourages clients to recognise that back pain can be controlled and managed, so that a normal, active life can be maintained.
